Ford E-250 Turn Signal Switch Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the turn signal switch on Ford E-250?
A: Operation of the SRS supplemental restraint system must occur first before starting the turn signal switch repair procedure. The lock cylinder of the Ignition Switch becomes accessible when you push the release tab while pulling it out with a punch following key insertion and position of the ignition switch to the RUN step. Never ignore the removal of applicable tilt release components. The three steering column shrouds screws need removal followed by the removal of two multi-function switch screws before tightening the new switch to 3 Nm (27 inch lbs.) position during assembly. I will disconnect the electrical connectors from the multi-function switch before performing installation by reversing all the initial removal steps. Repower the supplemental restraint system SRS as the last step.
