In order to service steering column shaft, the steering wheel must be straight and ignition switched off. When the chassis is non-commercial, loosen the pinch bolt that connects the coupler and steering gear, and take out the intermediate shaft. In case of commercial chassis, loosen the steering column shaft bolts. Installation is carried out in reverse.
