The procedure for engine mount removal requires positioning the vehicle on a hoist with neutral gear selection. First disconnect the 2 exhaust hangers followed by loosening the exhaust flexible pipe clamp to remove all components including 4 nuts, the exhaust flexible pipe assembly, the Y-pipe from the vehicle as a single unit. Replace the nuts with new ones along with discarding the gasket. First remove the two nuts that secure the roll restrictor heat shield before loosening the roll restrictor-to-subframe through bolt. First, extract the through bolt from the roll restrictor through bolt and then separate the 2 roll restrictor bracket plate bolts before removing the 3 bolts of the transaxle bracket. When setting up the
Oil Pan holding fixture users need to carefully match it with the mounting bosses at the oil pan before placing it under the pan near a floor jack. First remove the 3 bolts from the engine coolant degas bottle and place it to the side before proceeding with the nut and bolt removal of the engine mount brace. Begin engine mount removal by extracting first the 4 engine mount nuts and after that the 3 engine mount bolts. To install the engine mount begin with its placement and secure it through tightening the 3 bolts to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft). Begin by installing the 4 engine mount nuts while applying a torque of 63 Nm (46 lb-ft) and afterward tighten the engine mount brace along with its nut and bolt at 20 Nm (177 lb-in). Put the engine coolant degas bottle into position before securing it with the 3 bolts which must be tightened to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). First securely fasten the transaxle bracket through its 3 bolts to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft). Proceed with engine roll restrictor and transaxle bracket installation along with 3 bolts which require torquing to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft). Fasten the roll restrictor-to-subframe through bolt to 103 Nm (76 lb-ft) before installing the roll restrictor heat shield and tightening its 2 nuts to 11 Nm (97 lb-in). The Y-pipe assembly installation requires a new gasket before positioning the assembly and securing it with 4 new nuts that you should tighten to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). Then install the 2 exhaust hangers before clamping the exhaust to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft).
