    Q: How to service and repair the heater core on Ford Edge?
    A: The first step when servicing or repairing the heater core requires testing for a leak through a pressure test. Start by uninstalling the heater core system together with the evaporator core housing module. The first step involves removing the floor duct through unfastening its six mounting screws. First remove the dash panel seal by disconnecting its heater core tube and then proceed to remove the bracket screw and bracket. The removal process requires taking out the fresh air inlet duct by removing its 5 screws. You need to remove the 7 screws holding the lower facing plenum chamber while disconnecting the wire harnesses from the plenum chamber. Remove the upper facing plenum chamber screw alongside both plenum chamber clips when the heater core and evaporator core housing stands upright before extracting the plenum chamber by maintaining the evaporator core position. You should hold the heater core from its core-side tubing connections since this protects the tube junctions from damage. Detach the heater core partially from the plenum chamber before acquiring it at the top for complete extraction. Inspection of the evaporator core shift demands a core replacement and the correct installation of the drain seal. The installation process ends following an inversion of the removal sequence.
