How to service and repair a shock absorber on Ford Edge?

In order to service the shock absorber, take off the quarter trim panel, wheel, tire, and the upper nuts. Place a jackstand and then remove lower bolt and flagnut. Install the shock absorber, loose the lower bolt and refit the wheel. Screw the lower bullet to 80 Nm and upper nuts 25 Nm. Reinstall the trim panel.

How to Remove and Replace the Front Shock Absorber on Ford Edge?

In order to change the suspension strut, loosen the upper mount nuts and tighten them to 30 Nm. Unscrew the wheel, lower nuts and flag bolts. Re-fit, looseness lower nuts and flag bolts to 225 Nm. Install a new part of the same part number and observe the torque specification to assemble correctly.
