How to service and repair the rear suspension sway bar link on Ford Edge?

Service and repair operations on the rear suspension sway bar link must begin after parking the vehicle in NEUTRAL position on a hoist. Install new nuts on the sway bar link after removing its upper nuts until they reach 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) torque. Then remove the lower nuts of the sway bar link before taking out the bar links while installing fresh nuts then tightening to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). First remove sway bar bracket nuts and discard them before taking out sway bar brackets and bar while tightening new nuts to 55 Nm (41 lb-ft). Examine the sway bar bushings and change them to new components when required. Following the removal procedure reverse the installation to finish the work. New parts installed must receive same part numbers or equivalents and torque values must be applied exactly as specified for suspension system integrity.
