In order to service the inner tie rod end, take the wheel off, rotate the steering wheel, and loosen the jam nut. Loose the outer tie-rod end nut, loosen it with a Ball Joint Separator and remove the boot clamps. Install inner tie-rod end and tighten to 90 Nm and inspect front toe.

In order to service the inner tie rod end, unmount steering gear, both boots. Take off boot clamps, grab piston shaft and disconnect inner tie rod end. To install, simply tighten the new tie rod end and hold the piston shaft and reverse the process that the tie rod end was removed.
