Starting your repair and service of the steering wheel requires the removal of the driver
Air Bag module first. Start by disconnecting the steering wheel switch electrical connector from the
Clock Spring and conductively separate the wiring from its retainers while placing wires aside. The steering wheel bolt needs removal while users must apply 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) torque when reinstalling it. When using the Steering Wheel Puller to remove the steering wheel avoid both the wires and connector of the steering wheel switch. The project requires taping down the center rotor of the Clock Spring to stop its rotating motion. The installation process ends when performing the opposite steps used during removal.
