How to service and repair the radiator grille support on all on Ford Excursion?

The procedure to repair or service the radiator grille support for all vehicles starts with raising the hood (16612) and removing successively the upper radiator air deflector followed by the grille opening panel reinforcement. Begin by removing the retaining bolts from the radiator support bracket and the jack handle wing nut as well as the coolant reservoir retaining bolt. Unfasten the three pushpins which secure the right side air deflector. The left air charge cooler retainer shows while the right one is similar so both retainers need to be detached before disconnecting the left-side battery cable from the radiator grille support on diesel models. Then, remove the hood release. To service the air cleaner brackts of gasoline models you need to remove all brackt retaining bolts from top and bottom brackets before removing the pin-type air deflector retainers on the radiator support backside starting with the left example as the right is equivalent. Next proceed to disconnect the radiator support bracket retaining bolts present in six units on each section while also removing the upper support bracket. You should perform the reverse of the removal steps for normal installation.
