  The first step to replace an A/C condenser core requires disconnecting the battery ground cable and collecting refrigerant from the system. Separate the vehicle from power by detaching the ground cable of the battery followed by removing the air cleaner assembly. The A/C condenser core requires separation from its manifold and tube through O-ring seal removal before discarding. The installation requires a new O-ring seal which needs to be prepared with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent product which fulfills Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. Use another new lubricated O-ring during installation when removing the condenser to evaporator tube from the air conditioning condenser core. Discard the existing O-ring seal before installation. Raise the vehicle and you can remove the lower Air Deflector by unfastening seven screws along with two pin-type retainers. Before core removal users must detach transmission oil cooler lines by first removing a metallic clip then a bolt and finally another bolt to separate the A/C condenser core. The installation process requires a reverse order to removal while adding refrigerant oil when using a new A/C condenser core in combination with a new A/C evaporator core orifice. To finish the operation A/C system evacuation and leak testing along with system charging must be performed.
