How to service the Coolant Temperature Sensor on Ford Explorer Sport Trac?

The service procedure for the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor starts with draining part of the cooling system. The service requires disconnecting the ECT sensor electrical connector first. The retaining clip needs removal before extracting the ECT sensor. The installation of the new sensor should follow the steps reversed from sensor removal.
