How to service the muffler on Ford Explorer Sport Trac?

In order to service the muffler, place the vehicle on neutral on a hoist and jack-up the exhaust. Cut muffler inlet pipe, loosen the nuts of the coupler, and take the assembly out. To install, apply a new clamp, install some rubber isolators, and check obvious alignment and then tighten.

How to service and repair the muffler and tailpipe on Ford Explorer Sport Trac?

Raise the vehicle and take out the bolts and springs in order to service the muffler and tailpipe. In case of Sport Trac, relocate the shock absorber and right hand stabilizer bar link. Disconnect the tailpipe and muffler to the isolators, eliminate the converter outlet pipe gasket and repeat the same steps in reverse to install.
