In order to repair the crankshaft main bearing seal remove the flexplate and engine-to-transmission spacer plate. Removal and disposal of the crankshaft oil slinger and rear seal is done with the Impact Slide Hammer. Apply lubrication to the new seal and fit it with the Crankshaft Rear SealInstallers and fit the spacer plate and flexplate again.

How to service the front crankshaft seal on Ford F-150?

In order to service the front crankshaft seal, first take the crankshaft pulley out and then dislodge the seal with the Crankshaft Front Seal Remover. First lubricate the front cover of the engine and the seal lip with clean oil and then use the correct tools to apply the new seal and then replace the crankshaft pulley.
