The procedure to service and repair the rear brake caliper of F-250 and F-350 requires first removing the wheel along with its tire. After removing the brake caliper flow bolt you should discard its two copper washers before installing the bolt at 35 Nm (26 lb-ft) torque specification. The caliper sight hole should never be used for prying in order to retract pistons because this action can harm pistons along with their boots. During installation phase you should tighten the brake caliper bolts to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft) when working on F-250/350 single rear wheel vehicles but the bolts must reach 76 Nm (56 lb-ft) for F-350 dual rear wheel vehicles.
