Service of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor requires the ignition switch to be set to OFF to avoid harm to electronic engine controls. The service procedure starts with switching off the ignition followed by air cleaner outlet tube extraction. You should start by detaching the electrical connector from the MAP sensor before taking the sensor out. In installation follow the removal procedure while torquing the MAP sensor at 12 Nm (106 lb-in).
