Safety precautions must be followed when servicing the fuel rail since it contains highly flammable mixtures therefore always disconnect the battery ground cable before beginning any fuel-related component work while also keeping away from smoking and open flames. A suitable starting approach includes releasing fuel system pressure while cleaning the engine compartment free of fuel residue to stop ignition occurrences. The first step is to detach the upper intake manifold then release the fuel tube routing clip from the fuel rail before unfastening the fuel tube spring lock coupling. Disconnect the six
Fuel Injector electrical connectors first before you remove the fuel rail assembly by taking out the four fuel rail bolts. Replace all twelve fuel injector O-ring seals with resistant fuel material-based new ones since regular O-rings could generate leaks. The new O-ring seals receive clean engine oil lubrication before installing them onto the fuel injectors. Afterward, you should place each fuel injector along with its clip into the fuel rail. Reassembly begins with attaching the fuel rail combined with the injectors while securing it with four bolts tightened to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Connect all six fuel injector electrical connectors along with the fuel tube-to-fuel rail spring lock coupling and the fuel tube routing clip. The procedure ends when the upper intake manifold installs alongside reconnecting the battery ground cable.
