In order to service the air inlet duct, one should begin by removing heater core and evaporator core housing. Then loosen the 5 screws that secure the air inlet duct and take them out. These are the same steps that are reversed to install a new air inlet duct.

How to Service and Repair an Intake Air Duct for Outlet Pipe on Ford Flex?

Disconnection of Crankcase vent and vacuum pipes connected to the Air Cleaner (ACL) outlet pipe is necessary, to service the intake air duct. Unscrew and take away the clamps then the outlet pipe. When reinstalling, clamp the clamps to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) to ensure that no unmetered air is pumped into the engine.
