The four nuts need removal to lower the steering column but these nuts should get tightened to 18 Nm (159 lb-in) when they are put back. The service and repair of the multifunction switch starts by disconnecting its electrical connector after screw removal from both sides. Installation requires screw tightening at 3 Nm (27 lb-in). The reverse process will finish the installation.
