In order to replace the rear wheel bearing, take out the brake drum and the wheel speed sensor ring (where applicable). Press the wheel bearing and water seal out. Install new water seal carrier, snap ring and bearing. Wipe the spindle, place a new water sealing piece, and restore the brake drum.

How to service and repair the wheel bearing in the front suspension on Ford Focus?

In order to correct the front suspension wheel bearing, one has to take off the wheel knuckle and circlip. Then wring out the old bearing, then with a Bearing Puller remove the hub and the outer race. Take care not to heat when taking the inner ring away. On reassembly, install the new bearing, but make sure the sensor is not clogged up by the circlip.
