    Q: How to Service and Repair the A/C Hose Compressor Manifold and Tube Assembly on Ford Freestyle?
    A: The service process for compressor manifold and tube assembly starts with recovering the refrigerant first. Climb the vehicle to NEUTRAL while placing it on a hoist. The service requires the removal of two coolant hose retainers from the cooling fan shroud together with the A/C pressure transducer electrical connector. Detach the compressor manifold by loosening its bolt before throwing away its O-ring seals then confirm new installation torque reaches 21 Nm (15 lb-ft). Remove the compressor manifold and tube suction fitting nut to disconnect the fitting before discarding all existing O-ring seals while installing new ones with a torque of 8 Nm (71 lb-in). After removing the condenser inlet fitting nut and disconnecting the fitting you should discard the O-ring seal by tightening the new installation to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). Petroleum Alcohol Glycol oil lubrication followed by O-ring installation completes the reassembly. Follow the disassembly approach in reverse while using new seals and applying the right amount of PAG oil to lubricate the refrigerant system. Complete the process by evacuating the refrigeration system for testing and leak detection followed by charging.
