The service process of the evaporative emission canister purge valve begins with disconnecting the battery ground cable. You need to disconnect both the electrical connector from the EVAP canister purge valve followed by removing the two fuel vapor tube-to-EVAP canister purge valve quick connect couplings. Depression of the retaining tab allows you to extract the canister purge valve away from its bracket. Reposition the valve in the reverse order used for removal to complete the installation steps. System maintenance requires both an emission leak test and the execution of the evaporative emission repair verification drive cycle after installation.
