You should place the vehicle with neutral gear on a hoist before servicing or repairing the transaxle rear support insulator. Fasten the splash shield by securing its 7 bolts and torque them to a value of 47 Nm (35 lb-ft). You should take out the 2 bolts holding the lower transaxle rear support insulator in place and reinstall these fasteners tightly to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft). Unplug the positive battery cable retainer then take out the battery tray bolts before placing items back and tightening the bolts to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). To position the power distribution box (PDB) by the side remove its 2 bolts along with the lower nut then pull the PDB up to release the pushpin while disconnecting the 2 electrical connectors. Place a suitable floor jack under the transaxle after which remove all remaining bolts that secure the transaxle rear support insulator to the frame and the nuts that fasten the insulator. Finish by removing the insulator-to-transaxle bolt. New mount studs require installation when they come out but must achieve proper seating within the case before turning to 63 Nm (46 lb-ft). To begin remove the clutch hydraulic tube spring clip before pushing the clutch tube down to break its bracket bond. Complete the process by taking off the clutch hydraulic tube plastic retainer along with the transaxle mount. Execute the reverse steps of removal to reinstall the system.
