How to Service and Repair the Motor and Transmission Mount on Ford Mustang?

Begin repair of the transmission mount by securing the vehicle in NEUTRAL gear position on a hoist then supporting the transmission with a proper transmission jack system. Two nuts on the transmission rear support insulator require loosening before removing the four outer bolts of the transmission mount. The bolts need to be tightened to 63 Nm (46 ft. lbs) after reinstalling. The service technician will need to eliminate the center bolt of the transmission rear insulator before gently unlocking the exhaust brackets from the exhaust insulators on the rear transmission mount to remove the mount itself. This mount requires a tightening torque of 70 Nm (52 ft. lbs) upon assembly. The last step entails removing the two nuts from the transmission rear support insulator and separating it from the transmission mount before installing everything in reverse order.
