How to Service and Repair the Rear Crankshaft Seal on Ford Mustang?

In order to fix the crankshaft rear seal, take out the flexplate or flywheel and the spacer plate. When equiped with a metal speedy sleeve, remove it. Wipe the crankshaft with a rag and lubricate the surface using the installer before making up the new seal with the speedy sleeve. Reconnect the spacer and flexplate.

In order to service the front crankshaft seal, one must take off the crankshaft pulley and throw out the old seal with the help of a Crankshaft Front Oil Seal Remover. Clean engine oil should be lubricated on the new seal, followed by the proper installation of the Front Cover Aligner and Crankshaft Vibration Damper Installer. Install the crankshaft pulley.
