Start by taking out the affected seat component followed by dismantling Armrest and seat backrest assembly and seat track. Detachment of the seat track position sensor, and the two screws from the seat track marks the first step along with removing J-clips from the trim cover. Before unclipping the pin-type retainer to remove the seat backrest latch release cable one must observe the cable route within the seat cushion frame. The next step requires separation of the seat cushion frame from the foam pad and removal of all hog ring rows to remove the seat cushion trim cover. Place the cushion trim cover on top of the foam pad before you fasten it using hog rings for assembly. Reverse the installation process by placing the seat cushion foam pad then the seat cover back on the frame while correctly routing the seat backrest latch release cable and attaching the pin-type retainer. First connect the trim cover J-clip then place back the seat track position sensor and screws after reattaching the seat track followed by backrest assembly and armrest before reinstalling the affected seat. After reassembly of the components it is necessary to repower the SRS to finalize the service procedure.
