In order to repair the Body Control Module, you have to upload the configuration to the diagnostic tool, and then dismount the smart junction box (SJB). Unload the battery and pull away the lower cowl trim and the electrical connectors. Once the new module has been installed download the configuration and reverse the steps of removal.

How to service and repair the Body Control Module on Ford Ranger?

The Body Control Module can be fixed by uploading the configuration to the diagnostic tool, removing the battery, and removing the Smart Junction Box (SJB) by unscrewing connectors and screws. Once the new module is installed, re- download the saved configuration into the new module and do the steps of removing the installed modules in reverse to finish the installation.
