The front fender can be removed after uninstalling both front
Bumper and parking lamp assembly and radiator opening cover using pushpin removal. The stone deflector becomes accessible after removing its corresponding pushpin and extracting the deflector. The wheel splash guard should be detached while removing electrical connector locators from the splash shield and disconnecting vacuum lines from the vacuum storage reservoir on the RH splash shield before removing it by unscrewing screws, pushpin and bolts. The next step is to remove the front fender cowl side sound absorber and the lower front fender to rocker panel bolt while safely storing any front fender spacer(s) that are present. Unlock the front door to gain access to the front fender bolt which can be removed together with the front fender radiator support brace bolt. The radio grille opening panel reinforcement needs installation then removal of its four bolts which are situated at the front position. Proceed with the bolt removal from the RH front fender speed control servo when it exists. Move forward with removal of the front fender by unthreading its bolts. First install the front fender bolts and afterward and only if equipped reinstall the speed control servo on the RH front fender with its survival bolt. Begin by fastening the bolts that secure the radiator grille opening panel reinforcement and finally install the bolt between the front fender to radiator support brace. The front-door opening permits installation of the front fender bolt while the lower front fender gets bolted onto the rocker panel after potential use of up to two fender spacers per side. Before attaching the front fender cowl side sound absorber the technician must secure electrical connector locators to their correct locations and reconnect vacuum lines to the vacuum storage reservoir on RH splash shield. Reinstall the wheel splash guard to begin while also fastening the stone guard through its pushpin. Conclusion of the process includes installing pushpins in the radiator opening cover and the parking lamp assembly followed by reattachment of the front bumper.
