How to service the front fender on Ford Ranger?

Service of the front fender starts with removing both front bumper and parking lamp assembly. Begin with the wheel splash guard removal while disconnecting electrical connector locators from the splash shield. Before taking out the splash shield remove its vacuum lines from the vacuum storage reservoir. Then use bolts, screws and pushpin to detach the right-hand splash guard. Begin by removing the front fender cowl side sound absorber and the lower front fender to rocker panel bolt while keeping front fender spacer(s) in your possession for later reinstall if your vehicle has these elements. The front door opening reveals the front fender bolt then access to remove the radiator grille opening panel and the front fender to radiator support brace bolt. Begin installation of the radiator grille opening panel reinforcement by moving it toward the front before removing its four bolts. Remove the bolt from the speed control servo located on the right-hand front fender before setting the servo component to the side. After removing all bolts from the front fender you can complete the installation by simply performing the reverse order of removal.
