How to Service the Headlight Switch on Ford Ranger?

The headlamp switch service requires removing two screws from the instrument panel center finish panel followed by disconnecting electrical connectors. Begin by removing two screws which secure the hood latch release handle before moving on to the two screws of the lower instrument panel cover. The six bolts securing the lower instrument panel reinforcement should be removed before reinstalling them with a torque of 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). The column gear shift lever should be placed out of operating range when appropriate. Unscrew the five screws on the cluster finish panel along with the removal of electrical connectors. First detach the headlamp switch knob before you can remove the headlamp switch by unscrewing its two retaining screws. The installation process ends with reversing the steps used during removal.
