How to service the voltage regulator on Ford Ranger?

In order to service the voltage regulator, take off the generator and its brush and terminal holder, as well as the voltage regulator assembly. Install the brush and holder again and make sure that the brush and holder are connected and then the voltage regulator is connected. Lastly, install the generator again with all the parts secured.
