How to service the Brake Light Switch on Ford Taurus?

When servicing the Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch, as a starting point, deconnect the battery ground cable. Then, disconnect the electrical connector and take away the self-locking pin. Secondly, lift the BPP switch out of the brake master cylinder push rod. To install, it is just a matter of undoing what has been done during removal.
