How to service the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch for the computer on Ford Taurus?

The first step in servicing the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch requires disconnecting the battery ground cable combined with partial draining of the cooling system. Before installing the new ECT sensor start by disconnecting its electrical connection then taking off the retaining clip followed by removing the ECT sensor itself. Install the unit by performing in reverse order of uninstallation steps.
