Drain the exterior rear door handle outward and to the rear until it breaks free from the rear door handle reinforcement before removing it. The exterior door handle gasket should be removed only if required. Begin by adding the exterior door handle gasket only if needed before starting the installation process. Put the exterior door handle inside the reinforcement then push it toward the front before it snaps properly. The exterior door handle cap installation requires unscrewing it from its bezel position before bolt insertion into the exterior door handle with 7 Nm (62 lb-in) torque setting. Complete the installation by putting the exterior door handle cap onto the bezel followed by reinstallation of the rear door latch.
