How to remove and replace the power seat switch while ensuring safety when working equipped with an air bag supplemental restraint system (SRS) on Ford Taurus?

Wear safety glasses and deactivate the SRS when changing the power seat switch, to avoid the airbag being thrown out on accident. Unscrew the switch, remove the outer side shield and disconnect the seat control switch. Install new switch, reconnect shields and reconnect electrical connector and repower the SRS.

How to service and repair the power seat switch on Ford Taurus?

To remove the power seat switch, the driver door trim panel should be removed and the 4 retainers pushed in order to remove the memory SET switch bezel and switch. To take the switch out of the bezel, disengage the retainers and then repeat the process in order to put them back.
