Lincoln Continental Radiator Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the radiator on Lincoln Continental?
A: Performance of radiator maintenance demands battery grounding cable removal together with engine-cooling fluid removal. Start with air cleaner engine removal followed by disconnecting upper radiator hose from the bypass tube and separating the upper supports of the radiator. The service begins with detaching the two clips from the fan shroud where the radiator overflow hose and upper radiator hose are located. Disembark the transmission fluid cooler lines from respective fluid cooler fittings and detach auxiliary electric cooling Fan Motor wires from the engine control sensor. Secure the A/C Condenser core along with its bracket in position before uninstalling the nuts which hold the condenser core to the radiator. Drain all fluids and liquid below the vehicle. Position it on a hoist and remove the radiator Air Deflector and subsequently detach the lower radiator hose from the radiator. You should first remove the power steering/transmission fluid cooler along with pin-type retainers from the bumper cover and place it beside the cooler. The support fixation enables you to remove the bolts which retain the left-hand and right-hand radiator support assemblies. Remove first the fan shroud followed by the radiator and then the radiator support from the vehicle while also taking out the upper radiator hose from the radiator and fan shroud retaining bolts. The procedure ends by executing the opposite steps of the removal process.
