How to Service the Exhaust Manifold to EGR Tube on Lincoln Zephyr?

Start the exhaust manifold to exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve tube servicing process by hoisting the vehicle with transmission set to neutral. The service requires uninstalling any 7 screws which keep the underbody cover in position. When disconnecting the EGR tube fitting from the EGR valve make sure to apply torque of 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) when reattaching it. According to the maintenance instructions the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube fitting must be disconnected from both exhaust manifold and EGR valve while tightening it to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). Reinstall the exhaust manifold-to-EGR valve tube according to the backward removal process.
