Lincoln Mark LT A/C Condenser Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the A/C Condenser core of the HVAC system on Lincoln Mark LT?
A: The first step for servicing the condenser core of the HVAC system involves recovering all refrigerant. The upper radiator sight shield needs removal with the condenser fittings for detachment followed by O-ring seal disposal. Follow up the reinstallation by tightening the fittings to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft). Take the two bolts off the transmission oil cooler after positioning the component aside by following bolt torque specifications of 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). First remove the three bolts from the hood latch bracket and set it aside before reinstallation while tightening to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). Replace the two condenser bracket bolts while securing them at 18 Nm (13 lb-ft) torque. The installation requires new O-ring seals together with proper implementation of clean PAG oil to lubricate the refrigerant system. Reverse the removal process to reinstall the condenser core. Evacuation should follow leak testing and charging the refrigeration system.
