  A: Proper service of the power steering reservoir requires draining the contents through an appropriate suction tool that prevents system entry of contaminants which shorten the life of power steering components. First drain the reservoir using a suitable suction device before removing the three reservoir bolts which need to be tightened to 11 Nm (8 ft. lbs.) during reinstallation. Safely detach the reservoir-to-pump hose through clamp release followed by disconnecting the power steering fluid cooler-to-reservoir hose by identical clamp release manner. After removing the power steering reservoir, the installation procedure should reverse in order to properly reset the power steering system through fluid addition.
