How to service the wiper motor on Lincoln MKS?

The wiper motor service starts with removing the mounting arm assembly for the wipers along with their pivot shaft. A brand-new wiper motor assembly already contains the necessary linkage arm. Detaching the wiper motor linkage arm from the wiper motor assembly must be avoided because the arms could fail to park properly leading to possible damage. A flat-blade screwdriver or suitable tool should be used to pull apart the wiper pivot arm linkage from the wiper motor linkage arm before wiper motor removal. You should remove the three wiper motor bolts then reinstall them after tightening them to 18 Nm (159 lb-in). The process ends with reinstallation of the wiper motor using the reverse removal steps.
