Adopt proper safety measures when working with the fuel rail since it contains dangerous flammable fuel mixtures while you should both avoid all ignition sources and then release pressure from your fuel system before working on any connection points to stop spray. Proceed with disconnecting the ground
Battery Cable and extracting the upper intake manifold first. Service of the fuel rail begins with unfastening both the fuel tube quick connector from the fuel rail and the six electrical
Fuel Injector connections. Use tools to remove the four fuel rail bolts before proceeding to extract the fuel rail unit together with connected injectors. Take out and throw away the twelve fuel injector O-ring seals before installing new seals made of special fuel-resistant material because ordinary O-rings might cause leakage. New O-ring seals require engine oil lubrication before you install them into the fuel rail alongside the six fuel injectors and their clips. Install the fuel rail assembly together with the injectors and secure them with four bolts fixed at 10 Nm (89 lb-in). After reinstalling the upper intake manifold and reconnecting the battery ground cable one must reattach six fuel injector electrical connectors together with the fuel tube-to-fuel rail quick connect coupling.
