How to service and repair the throttle body on Lincoln MKX?

The vehicle requires removal of the throttle body for cleaning procedures as any stationary materials used to maintain throttle plate opening can generate damage to bore and plate components. Start by unpiping the air cleaner outlet followed by electronic throttle control electrical connector disconnection. After securing the throttle body with four bolts users need to remove them before disposing of the old throttle body gasket. Apply a brand new gasket during throttle body installation and follow up by tightening bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Complete the installation by doing the opposite of what was done during removal.
