Start by removing the power liftgate strut cover in the quarter trim panel before servicing the power liftgate systems of vehicles. The electrical connector for the seat control switch can be removed with enough pressure on its tabs located at both top and bottom positions before pulling it out of the quarter trim panel. Implementation of the new switch requires executing the opposite steps of removal.
