Servicing the front sliding roof opening requires beginning by opening the panel to VENT position before detaching the concertina blind from the moving glass frame. The sliding glass panel should be repositioned past the VENT position and the four front screws should be removed along with a post-installation torque set to 8 Nm (71 lb-in). The procedure requires removal of two rear screws but these should be tightened to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) when installing. The idler mechanism has the ability to move without restraint after the glass panel removal so avoid pulling the idler toward the rear since it may detach from its idler track. When installing the roof opening panel glass follow the exact steps of removal in reverse order. The roof opening panel motor(s) need to be initiated after installation.
