How to service the front door window regulator and motor on Lincoln MKZ?

Start the procedure of servicing front door window regulator and motor by taking out the door trim panel and then unfastening the wiring harness cover plate and access hole plug. The motor operation should be checked before the technician moves on to lower the window to expose window glass clamp bolts for removal of the motor. Construction of the rear B-pillar window glass clamp bolt starts by disconnecting its door latch cable retainers with light torque of 6 Nm (53 lb-in) for reinstallation. The next step involves loosening the A-pillar window glass clamp bolt prior to the installation where you will need to tighten it to 6 Nm (53 lb-in). Stick the window in position before lowering the window regulator until it stops at the lowest points of the tracks. Climb into the front seat and remove the speaker from the front door while taking out the interior handle bolt and setting the handle to the side. The wiring harness retainers and all door electrical connectors including door latch, keyless entry keypad and door lock (if available) and power mirror (if necessary) need to be disconnected. The installation requires removal of the 10 door module bolts as well as the window regulator motor electrical connector followed by torqueing them to 11 Nm (8 lb-ft) when reinstalling. The process involves removing the front door module while moving essential components during replacement of an updated module. When performing the installation reverse the prior removal steps while ensuring initialization of new front window motors for MKZ vehicles. At the same time, follow the procedure to de-initialize and initialize the original motors.
