Start the process of servicing the rear brake disc by switching off the
Air Suspension power in the right-hand kick panel area because this prevents uncalled-for air spring deflation or inflation while hoisting or jacking or towing occurs. Set the vehicle to the neutral gear slot on the hoisting device. The service on
Brake Calipers requires removing brake caliper anchor plate bolts but leaving brake wheel hoses connected and tightening bolts to 190 Nm (140 ft-lbs) after installation. Extended suspension of the brake caliper using flexible brake hoses can lead to equipment damage. An assembly of the anchor plate and caliper should be removed and mechanic's wire should be used to support the caliper. You must remove both the access plug to the adjustment hole and contract the parking brake shoe before you can remove the brake disc if it binds with the shoe. To determine the brake disc's condition either choose resurfacing or use a new replacement depending on the results. The installation procedure should be reversed when completing the work.
