A: Service of the yaw rate sensor starts by taking out the floor console if it exists. The carpeting flap needs to be folded back to expose the yaw rate sensor for disconnecting its power connector. Separate the two nuts guarding the yaw rate sensor and extract the sensor from its position. The new sensor installation requires users to secure the nuts at 7 Nm (62 inch lbs.) then follow the removal steps in reverse order. The installation of a new yaw rate sensor requires that the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module gets configured through vehicle as-built data while following diagnostic directions for calibration. Refer to Body Control Systems for configuration steps of the modules.
