Service of the Engine Control Module starts with pulling out the battery tray before moving forward. The service of the Engine Control Module starts by removing the battery tray followed by disconnecting the two electrical connectors from the powertrain control module (PCM). You must unfasten the four bolts which secure the PCM after disconnecting its two electrical connectors. Follow these installation steps when attaching the PCM by fastening the bolts to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) torque specification and then do the installation procedure in reverse order.
