How to service the rear seat cushion on Mercury Cougar?

In order to service the rear seat cushion, take out the cushion, ten hog rings and cover. Take out 14 plastic retaining strips, roll back the cover and pad and strip out the cushion. To assemble, reverse the process, being careful to place the cover in the proper location in regard to the backrest frame.

How to service and repair the front seat cushion on Mercury Cougar?

To maintain the front seat cushion, disassemble the front seat, unscrew the safety belt warning indicator and unhook the wiring harness. Take away the outer trim panel, remove the wiring and drive cables, and remove cushion cover. In order to reassemble, follow the reverse of the disassembly procedure.
