The rear door trim panel should be removed to service the rear door ajar switch. Next, unconnect the two electrical connectors at the switch. Then take off the screw of door ajar switch. Last but not least, re-installation should be performed by undoing the process performed during the removal.

To service the rear door ajar switch, start by removing the rear door latch. Then, release the locking tab, rotate the switch counterclockwise, and take it out. To install the new switch, simply reverse the steps taken during removal.
