The Mercury Fuel Tank Lock Ring is an attachment that closes the pump module thus ensuring that fuel and vapors are locked in ensuring that your Mercury has a smooth and safe ride on each journey. It began in 1938 and in merely three years Mercury gained a reputation of midsize cars with soft suspension, crisp styling, and quiet cabins that silenced the highway, which had made Mercury weak spots like the Cougar and the Grand Marquis popular.
