How to service the brake master cylinder on Mercury Grand Marquis?

Service of the brake master cylinder starts with removing brake tube fittings from the master cylinder then tightening them to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.) when reattaching them. First disconnect the brake fluid level switch connector then remove the two brake master cylinder nuts before installation where torque specifications should be 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.). Proceed by removing the brake master cylinder after separating both the wiring harness bracket and setting it to the side. Reverse the uninstallation process while performing brake system bleeding during completion of the installation. Manufacturers require vehicle owners to use uncontaminated brake fluid while discarding drained fluid to prevent device deterioration. All exposed painted and plastic surfaces must receive quick water-based cleaning after brake fluid leakage occurs because this liquid damages these materials.
